Large bulb produces strap shaped leaves and flower stems between 30 – 60cm tall which have a long flower spike of green flowers with purple edges. On top of the flowers is a tuft of small green leaves similar to a pineapple. Grow in a warm sunny border or at the base of a wall but ensure they don't get too dry. Also good to grow in pots. Borderline hardy – mulch in winter.
