An evergreen herbaceous plant with soft green large hairy leaves. In late spring to early autumn flower spikes, with small leaves up the stem, appear with yellow flowers in whorls up the stem. Really affective in mixed borders the large basal leaves cover the ground and keep in the moisture. In the autumn/winter the dead flower stems are very attractive. Sun to 1 metre.
