Vigorous evergreen large shrub or small tree, with glossy dark green aromatic leaves. Very attractive cinnamon-coloured bark. Can be grown as a free standing specimen, but responds well to clipping as a hedge or for topiary. In late summer and autumn, cup shaped fragrant white flowers are profusely produced, followed by red and black edible fruit.
