Description
A graceful, semi-evergreen shrub that provides a spectacular display of bright golden-yellow flowers from late summer through autumn, bringing welcome colour to the garden when many other plants are fading. Its airy, finely divided green foliage gives the plant a light, elegant appearance, making it equally suitable as a specimen shrub or as part of a mixed border.
Thriving in a sunny, sheltered position with well-drained soil, Senna corymbosa is ideal for coastal and mild-climate gardens where its long flowering season can be fully appreciated. It attracts bees and other pollinators, adding wildlife value as well as ornamental appeal. In colder parts of the UK it may lose its leaves in winter and benefits from the protection of a warm wall or frost-free overwintering when young.
