Description
Like the green-leaved Griselinia littoralis, ‘Variegata’ is particularly well suited to coastal gardens, tolerating salt-laden winds and exposed conditions once established. Its bright foliage can help to lift darker planting areas and provides a useful contrast in mixed borders.
It is best grown in full sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil. Regular clipping will maintain a compact, dense habit and encourage a good display of variegated foliage. A versatile evergreen for coastal and urban gardens, ‘Variegata’ combines attractive foliage with the toughness and reliability for which Griselinia is valued.
