Description
Avigorous, deciduous dogwood grown for its striking lime-green to bright yellow stems, which provide outstanding colour and structure throughout the winter garden. During spring and summer it produces fresh green foliage, followed by small creamy-white flowers in late spring and early summer. These are often succeeded by white berries that attract birds before the leaves turn warm golden-yellow in autumn.
Ideal for adding year-round interest, ‘Flaviramea’ thrives in moist, well-drained soil and performs well in full sun or partial shade. It is particularly effective planted in groups, alongside ponds and streams, or incorporated into mixed shrub borders and naturalistic planting schemes. Regular coppicing or hard pruning in early spring encourages vigorous new stems with the brightest winter colour.
