Description
An attractive evergreen shrub, producing masses of fragrant creamy-white flowers that appear in late spring and early summer against handsome, silvery-grey foliage. The nectar-rich blooms are highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects, making it an excellent addition to a wildlife-friendly garden.
Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, Buddleja loricata reaches a mature height of around 2–4 metres, forming a dense, bushy habit that is ideal for coastal gardens, cottage gardens, mixed shrub borders, and informal hedging. Its attractive evergreen foliage provides year-round interest, while its tolerance of wind and dry conditions makes it particularly well suited to exposed sites.
