Description
A superb plant for adding height and structure to borders, it is particularly effective towards the back of mixed perennial planting or in naturalistic schemes. The flowers are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, while the sturdy stems provide excellent winter interest if left standing.
Best grown in fertile, moisture-retentive soil in full sun or partial shade. A reliable and long-lived perennial, ‘Atropurpureum’ is an excellent choice for wildlife-friendly gardens and bold, late-season colour.
