Description
This attractive, aromatic perennial marjoram with bright golden-yellow foliage, which provides a splash of colour throughout the growing season. In summer, clusters of small pink-purple flowers are produced above the foliage, attracting bees and other pollinating insects.
Easy to grow and highly versatile, ‘Aureum’ is ideal for sunny borders, rockeries, gravel gardens and containers. It thrives in poor, well-drained soil and is tolerant of drought once established. Its colourful foliage and tough nature also make it an excellent choice for coastal gardens, where it copes well with dry conditions and salt-laden air.
