Description
A graceful, long-flowering perennial forming a spreading clump of fresh green, heart-shaped foliage. From late summer into autumn, it produces clouds of small white, daisy-like flowers with golden-yellow centres, creating a light and airy display.
A particularly useful plant for woodland-style and naturalistic planting, it is well suited to partial shade and looks excellent beneath trees, along woodland edges or towards the front of a mixed border. The open flowers are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects, while its late flowering period provides valuable colour when many other perennials are fading.
Easy to grow and reliable, Eurybia divaricata prefers moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil and will gradually form an attractive colony in favourable conditions.
