A striking evergreen
succulent with branching
stems topped by large rosettes of smooth, fleshy green leaves. Native to the Canary Islands, it provides year-round architectural interest and develops impressive conical clusters of bright yellow star-shaped flowers in spring, creating a spectacular display that attracts bees and other pollinators.
Ideal for coastal gardens, Mediterranean-style planting, containers and gravel gardens, this drought-tolerant plant thrives in full sun or light shade and well-drained soil. In colder areas of the UK it is best grown in pots so it can be moved to a frost-free position during winter, while in mild coastal regions it may remain outdoors with some protection.
