Description
An elegant ornamental grass forming a graceful, upright clump of narrow, blue-green leaves. Its fine foliage moves beautifully in the slightest breeze, giving borders a light, airy quality and excellent movement throughout the growing season.
In summer, delicate, open panicles of silvery-purple flowers rise above the foliage, creating a soft, hazy effect that catches the light. The attractive seedheads provide additional interest into autumn and can be left standing through winter.
A versatile grass for sunny borders, gravel gardens, prairie-style planting and coastal landscapes, ‘Wind Dancer’ is relatively drought tolerant once established and thrives in well-drained soil. Its fine texture makes an excellent contrast to larger-leaved perennials and architectural shrubs.
