Description
‘Pumila’ is a more compact form of pampas grass, producing a dense, graceful clump of narrow, arching green leaves. In late summer and autumn, tall stems rise above the foliage carrying attractive, creamy-white, feathery plumes, creating an impressive display and adding height and movement to the garden.
Its smaller size makes ‘Pumila’ particularly useful where the traditional pampas grass would be too large. It works well as a specimen plant, in mixed borders, prairie-style planting and large containers. Its robust nature and tolerance of wind also make it an excellent choice for coastal gardens
