Description
A vigorous, deciduous honeysuckle with wonderfully fragrant, creamy-yellow flowers that open from late spring through summer. The tubular blooms are particularly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, while the bright red berries that follow provide food for birds. Its twining growth makes it excellent for covering fences, trellis, arches and pergolas, bringing a traditional cottage-garden character to the landscape. A hardy and reliable climber, it is well suited to exposed and coastal gardens where it can be given support and some shelter from the strongest winds.
