Description
Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Dark Desire' is a striking ornamental grass, forming a graceful clump of narrow green foliage topped in summer by large, upright plumes of deep burgundy-purple flowerheads. The richly coloured flower spikes create an elegant contrast with the foliage and persist well into autumn, adding movement and texture to borders. An excellent choice for sunny borders and containers, and well suited to sheltered coastal gardens.
