Description
Evergreen, low-growing perennial, forming spreading mats of distinctive blue-grey, paddle-shaped foliage. In spring and summer, bright yellow, daisy-like flowers are held above the foliage, creating a striking contrast and attracting bees and other pollinating insects.
A particularly valuable plant for coastal and drought-prone gardens, Othonna cheirifolia thrives in full sun and very well-drained soil. It tolerates dry conditions, strong coastal winds and salt-laden air, making it an excellent choice for exposed seaside gardens. Perfect for gravel gardens, walls, banks and containers, where its unusual foliage and vivid flowers provide colour and texture with minimal maintenance.
