Description
A superb long-flowering evergreen perennial, producing masses of rich purple, daisy-like flowers with contrasting dark centres. Flowering from spring well into autumn, the vibrant blooms create a striking splash of colour above neat, spreading green foliage.
A particularly good choice for coastal gardens, ‘Tresco Purple’ thrives in full sun and well-drained soil and is well suited to windy seaside conditions and salt-laden air. Ideal for coastal borders, rockeries, gravel gardens, banks and containers, it combines a long season of vivid colour with the toughness needed for exposed gardens. The flowers are also attractive to bees and other pollinating insects.
