Description
A compact and floriferous French lavender, Lavandula stoechas ‘Devonshire Compact’ forms a neat mound of aromatic grey-green foliage, topped with deep purple flowerheads crowned by distinctive rosy-purple bracts. Flowering over a long period from late spring through summer, it brings excellent colour and Mediterranean character to sunny borders, containers and coastal gardens. The fragrant flowers are highly attractive to bees and other pollinating insects, and the plant is particularly well suited to warm, sheltered, free-draining sites
