Description
A magnificent late-flowering red hot poker, Kniphofia rooperi produces large, rounded spikes of glowing orange-red flowers that fade to yellow towards the base. The bold flower heads rise above broad, evergreen foliage, providing excellent colour well into autumn when many other perennials have finished flowering. A tough, reliable plant for sunny borders, coastal gardens and exposed sites, with the flowers attracting bees and other pollinating insects.
