Description
A compact, evergreen New Zealand shrub with a neat habit, small glossy leaves and attractive year-round foliage. In summer, it produces slender spikes of small white flowers, adding a delicate touch to its dense green foliage.
Naturally bushy and relatively slow growing, Hebe odora is an excellent choice for low hedging, borders and containers. Its tidy appearance and evergreen character make it particularly useful where a plant needs to provide structure throughout the year.
It performs best in full sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained soil. Once established, it is reasonably drought tolerant and is also a useful choice for coastal gardens, where it can cope with salt-laden winds when given suitable conditions.
