Description
A compact, evergreen Mediterranean shrub valued for its elegant blue-green foliage and abundant clusters of soft lemon-yellow, sweetly scented flowers. Blooming from late winter through to spring, and often producing a second flush in autumn, it brings welcome colour and fragrance to the garden when little else is in flower.
Its neat, rounded habit makes it ideal for sunny borders, gravel gardens, coastal planting and containers. Exceptionally tolerant of drought once established, ‘Citrina’ thrives in well-drained soil and is well suited to sheltered coastal locations. The attractive glaucous foliage provides year-round interest and contrasts beautifully with the pale yellow blooms.
For best results, plant in full sun in a sheltered position with free-draining soil. Light pruning after flowering helps maintain a compact shape and encourages healthy new growth.
