Description
This a graceful ornamental grass has elegant, bamboo-like foliage and distinctive drooping seed heads that shimmer in the slightest breeze. From midsummer onwards, flat, oat-like flower spikes emerge green before maturing to bronze, providing months of interest and making excellent additions to fresh or dried flower arrangements. The foliage also develops attractive golden-yellow tones in autumn.
This hardy deciduous grass thrives in full sun or partial shade and performs well in moist, well-drained soils, although it will tolerate a range of garden conditions once established.
