Description
Compact, evergreen that produces an abundance of delicate, crinkled soft pink flowers from late spring through to midsummer. Each papery bloom is highlighted by a bright golden centre, creating a cheerful display against the dense mound of aromatic, grey-green foliage. Although individual flowers last only a day, they are continuously replaced over many weeks, ensuring a long-lasting show.
This Mediterranean shrub is exceptionally well suited to sunny, dry gardens and thrives in poor, well-drained soils where many other plants struggle. Once established, it is highly drought tolerant and remarkably resilient to coastal conditions, including salt-laden winds, making it an excellent choice for seaside gardens.
