Description
Blepharocalyx cruckshankii ‘Heaven Scent’ is a rare and attractive evergreen shrub, prized for its highly fragrant white flowers and glossy, aromatic green foliage. Flowering in late spring and early summer, the blooms are rich in nectar, attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects, while the dense evergreen habit provides year-round colour, structure, and shelter for wildlife.
Thriving in full sun or partial shade, Blepharocalyx cruckshankii ‘Heaven Scent’ prefers fertile, moist but well-drained soil in a sheltered position. Reaching a mature height of around 2–4 metres, it is ideal for coastal gardens, wildlife gardens, mixed borders, and as an evergreen screening or specimen shrub. Once established, it shows good tolerance of coastal conditions and light frosts.
