Description
Bistorta affinis ‘Superba’ is a reliable, low-growing hardy perennial, prized for its long-lasting display of dense spikes of soft pink flowers that gradually deepen to rosy-red as they mature. Flowering from midsummer into autumn above a carpet of attractive semi-evergreen foliage, it provides excellent ground cover while adding months of colour to the garden.
Thriving in full sun or partial shade, Bistorta affinis ‘Superba’ prefers moist, well-drained soil and reaches around 20–30cm in height. Ideal for ground cover, cottage gardens, wildlife gardens, mixed borders, and planting beneath shrubs, its nectar-rich flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, making it an excellent choice for a pollinator-friendly garden.
