Description
Ajuga reptans 'Braunherz' is a low-growing, evergreen perennial that forms a dense carpet of rich bronze-purple foliage, making it an excellent choice for ground cover in borders, woodland gardens and beneath shrubs. In late spring and early summer, upright spikes of deep violet-blue flowers rise above the foliage, creating a striking contrast while attracting bees and other pollinating insects.
This hardy, easy-to-grow variety thrives in moist, well-drained soil and performs well in full sun or partial shade, although the foliage develops its richest colour in brighter positions with adequate moisture.
