Description
‘Zwartkop’ is a striking architectural succulent, forming large rosettes of deep burgundy-black foliage on upright, branching stems. The dramatic colouring becomes particularly intense in bright sunlight, creating a superb contrast with greener planting.
An excellent choice for coastal gardens, containers, gravel gardens and Mediterranean-style borders, ‘Zwartkop’ thrives in full sun and very well-drained soil. Its drought tolerance and ability to cope with exposed coastal conditions make it a particularly useful choice for seaside planting, provided it is protected from hard frost and winter wet.
